Dahab

… is located on the Egyptian peninsula of Sinai on the coast of the gulf of Aqaba. It is approx 85 km  north of Sharm el Sheikh airport and approx 120 km south of Taba airport. Private transfers take around 60 min from Sharm el Sheikh airport and around 90 min from Taba airport

If you are looking for flights try Sharm el Sheikh or (recently cheaper than Sharm) Taba airport. You can even include a trip to the Pyramids by taking a stop over in Cairo. You could try for example Skyscanner to find your flight. From Taba or Sharm we are happy to organize you a transfer in an airconditioned taxi to the Bedouin Moon Hotel and Reef 2000 Dive Club in Dahab.

Dahab is one of the Red Sea´s oldest diving resorts and hosts some of the most spectacular and challenging dive sites in Egypt. It is now just as popular as a budget holiday resort destination for those who simply want to relax and get some sun, however with camels safaris, snorkelling trips, and desert excursions to name a few days out, there’s plenty to keep you occupied too.

Named after the Arabic word for gold, Dahab borders the Gulf of Aqaba, and is an hour’s drive through spectacular desert from the airport in the more commercial resort of Sharm el-Sheikh or a 90 min`s drive from Taba airport. But the vibe in Dahab is very different. The village is a small, vibrant mix of cultures populated with white-robed Bedouin and their brightly adorned camels, the women swathed in black and the children, multicoloured and mischievous, are always ready to strike up a deal for a bracelet or two.

Egyptian traders and shopkeepers sell their crafts, food and wares to the growing number of holiday makers who are enjoying Dahab’s friendly, personal vibe.

The bars and cafes almost hover over the water of the bay, where there are plenty of places to eat and relax after a day at play round the pool or in the sea. I you feel like a party, there are a few lively bars in town worth a visit that can keep you up all night.

Dahab is a very quiet place and The Bedouin Moon`s location, sitting in a stunning bay in between the rugged mountains and the sea that hovers right outside the door, gives the atmosphere at the hotel an even more peaceful quality.
