Reef 2000 Dive Club is an IANTD Technical Instructor Training Facility (CDWS certified) and we are dedicated to producing knowledgable, safe and skillful divers following IANTD standards. Tech diving is our passion
IANTD believes confidence and efficiency are developed by spending time in the water. All programmes specify required minimum minutes of bottom time to be accomplished within a certain number of dives. IANTD is the first to incorporate this into diver training. IANTD believes basic survival skills must be PRACTICED until they become reflex reactions. IANTD believes that being confident, competent and knowledgeable, through resposible training, enables one to survive the seemingly impossible.
Reef 2000 Dive Club offers Technical Guided Dives till 100msw – for safety and quality reasons all technical dives will be supervised by a qualified member of staff. Due to the exposed location of Dahab on the Gulf of Aqaba which features spectacular underwater geography it is possible to reach greater depth very close to the shore.
Many different reef structures offer the beginner and the experienced Technical Diver a variety of interesting Technical dives. Dahab provides ideal diving conditions all year round. Benefit from our experienced local Technical Guides to get the best and safest view on famous technical dive sites like “The Arch” at the Blue Hole, the bottom of the Blue Hole or the Canyon and the Canyon (Neptune´s) Cave. In addition to the already mentioned dive sites there are many more suitable for technical divers like for example the Little Canyon, C19, Gabr el Bint or Rolfes Reef – just to mention a few.
For the experienced Technical Divers we offer gases, logistics and surface support.
Reef 2000 offers custom Nitrox- and Trimix-fills, a wide selection of tanks (7, 10, 12, 15 and 2×12 liter, 2x 15 liter ) and in case you do not own technical kit: DiveRite Technical BCDs & APEX regs.
For Re-breather users we offer three sets of 3 liter Inspiration-tanks; due to our little booster pump – 200 bar Oxygen fills and we can provide a stock of Sofnolime.
Laminated and custom-made deco tables are available as well.
During all IANTD courses the student to instructor ratio will be maximum 3:1!
The student will NOT be charged for any of the instructors gases!
Our IANTD diver and instructor courses are run by our local IANTD Instructor Trainer Florian “Floh” Herzberg and Adam “Welsh Shark” Andrews (IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix Instructor & IANTD Hypoxic Trimix Diver OC). Floh has been a professional diver since 1997 and has been one of Dahab´s first Technical Divers (still un-bent). Benefit from more than 15 years experience in Technical Diving. Floh s primary objective is creating safe, competent and knowledgeable Technical Divers and make them get the best out of Dahab s technical dives sites.
You can download the IANTD Medical Form from here to check if you can enroll in a course without an examination by a diving physician.
“It´s not about beeing cool, because you dive deep! It´s about challenge, experience and safety!”

The first step into Decompression Diving
Prerequisites:
Must be qualified as an IANTD EANx Diver and IANTD Deep Diver (or equivalent) with proof of a minimum of 30 logged dives or sufficient experience to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training. We recommend a minimum of 100 logged dives.
Duration:
4 days (with a minimum of 120min open-water run time in at least 4 dives)
The first step into Decompression Diving if you want to minimise narcosis
Prerequisites:
Must be qualified as an IANTD EANx Diver and IANTD Deep Diver (or equivalent) with proof of a minimum of 30 logged dives or sufficient experience to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training. We recommend a minimum of 100 logged dives.
Duration:
4 days (with a minimum of 120min open-water run time in at least 4 dives)
For those who want to dive the Canyon and “The Arch” at the Blue Hole safely and with narcosis
This Program is designed to train divers to conduct dives to depths 51 msw using custom blend breathing gas mixtures with a maxiumum of 1.6 bar PPO2 for decompression and a max of 1.4 bar PPO2 for the working part of the dive and to provide greater understanding of custom blend breathing gas mixtures, a complete knowledge of the limits of any EANx mixture, and the use of EANx and oxygen for decompression.
The knowledge and skills taught in this program are more than adequate to qualify divers to perform dives outside of training up to 54 msw.
Prerequisites:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Advanced EANx, Advanced Recreational Trimix Diver or equivalent (for example TDI Advanced Nitrox & TDI Decoprocedures). Must provide proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least 30 were deeper than 90 fsw (27 msw) or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training.”
Duration:
6 days (with a minimum of 220min open-water run time in at least 4 dives)
For those who want to dive The Canyon and“The Arch” at the Blue Hole safely and with reduced narcosis
This Program is designed to train those who wish to dive to depths till 60 msw, but who do not wish to breathe air below 39 msw. Trimix affords a means of reducing narcosis on such dives. The maximum depth on the course will be 60 msw. The maximum END (Equivalent Narcotic Depth) on this course will be 36msw. The maximum PPO2 will be 1.6 bar for decompression and 1.4 bar PPO2 for the working part of the dive.
Prerequisites:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Advanced EANx, Advanced Recreational Trimix Diver or equivalent (for example TDI Advanced Nitrox & TDI Decoprocedures). Must provide proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least 30 were deeper than 90 fsw (27 msw) or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training.” (Students already qualified as Technical Divers will be credited the 2 air training dives)
Duration:
6 days (with a minimum of 220min open-water run time in at least 4 dives)
For those who want to see the bottom of the Blue Hole and check out Neptune`s Cave below the Canyon
This Program is designed for those individuals already involved in deep diving activities. The knowledge and skills taught in this program are more than adequate to qualify divers to perform Trimix Dives up to 100 msw. The maximum END (Equivalent Narcotic Depth) will be 39msw. The maximum PPO2 will be 1.6 bar for decompression and 1.4 bar PPO2 for the working part of the dive.
Prerequisites:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Technical Diver or Technical Cave Diver or Technical Wreck Diver or Normoxic Trimix Diver or equivalent (for example TDI Trimix or TDI Extended Range Divers). Must provide proof of a minimum of 200 logged dives, of which at least 25 were to depths between 140 fsw (42 msw) and 200 fsw (60 msw) or sufficient experience doing technical dives to satisfy the instructor that the student has the ability and knowledge to continue into this level of training.
Duration:
